Dear Colleagues and Students,

A Travelers EDGE scholar, he was a pre-accounting major. Jamar was also a member of the Blue Devils football team. Arrangements for his funeral are pending at this time. A memorial service at the University is also being planned. More information about these events will be forthcoming when details are certain.
The University is offering counseling services to Jamar's friends, particularly to those in the EDGE program and on the team.
By all accounts, Jamar was a great friend and a wonderful son. He was loyal, kind-hearted, and generous, and his life was filled with exceptional promise. On behalf of the campus community, we offer our deepest sympathy to his grieving family and friends.
