Central Connecticut Football's Rob Hollomon was named to the CFPA Running Back Award Watch List. The rising senior is one of 38 returning student-athletes at the Division I FCS level to earn a place on the initial list.
"Congratulations to Rob Hollomon on earning a spot on this year's watch list," said CFPA Executive Director Brad Smith. "Hollomon will be one of the top NEC players to watch in 2014."
Hollomon rushed for 1,452 yards and 18 touchdowns last season, his second consecutive 1,000-yard campaign. He also had 223 receiving yards and 595 return yards to total 2,270 all-purpose yards on the season. He was also the NCAA FCS Statistical Champion for all-purpose yards per game in 2013.
Hollomon's 1,452 yards last season rank as the third highest single-season total in school history. He also enters this season ranked third on CCSU's career rushing list with 2,556 yards.
