Men's Golf Tied for Sixth at CCSU Fall Invite

The Central Connecticut men's golf team sits in a tie for sixth place after the first round of the CCSU Fall Invitational on Sunday.  The tournament is being played at Wintonbury Hills Golf Course and is a par-70.  Sophomores Matt Hills and Bryant Bolden led the Blue Devils on day one with a score of 72, good for +2.  They sit in a tie for 10th place overall.


As a team the Blue Devils shot a day one score of 296 and are tied with Monmouth.  Boston College leads the field with a score of 283.  Monday's second and final round will feature live scoring using the link below.

Connor Greenleaf of Boston College and Pierre-Alexander Bedard each shot a -2 score of 68 on Sunday and share the individual lead.

Hills and Bolden led the scoring on Sunday for the Blue Devils.  Senior Monte Mullen fired a 76, as did sophomore Jack Ayers.  Freshman Anthony Sebastianelli shot 83.

Boston College shot 283, followed by Laval University at 289 and St. Francis U and Sacred Heart are tied for third place overall with a team score of 293.  Hofstra sits fifth at 295, followed by the Blue Devils and Monmouth at 296.   Boston College (B) is at 297, Iona is at 299 followed by Manhattan (300), Holy Cross (310) and St. Francis Brooklyn (343) round out the 12 team field.

The second and final round will take place on Monday morning in Bloomfield.
