The Central Connecticut men's golf team sits in 11th place after the first two rounds of the Manor Intercollegiate hosted by Longwood University. The tournament is being held at The Manor Golf Club in Farmville, VA.
The Blue Devils shot a team score of 311 in the first round and then improved eight strokes and climbed to 11th place overall after the first 36 holes.
Junior Anthony Sebastianelli led the scoring for the Blue Devils with a two round score of 147. He sits in a tie for 17th place overall. He fired a 74 in the first round and a 73 in round two, the two best scores of the day for the Blue Devils.
Freshman Arthur Ouimet shot 78-75 and his 153 has him in a tie for 48th place overall. His 75 was the third best round of the day for CCSU.
Freshman Drew Aitken shot 79-76 in the first two rounds. His 155 has him tied for 56th place overall. Junior Brandon Raine shot 80-79 and is in a tie for 76th place. Freshman Andrew Szandrocha shot 84-87 and is in 90th place overall.
Longwood leads the team scoring with a score of 576 (291-285), followed by Dartmouth (583), Delaware (585), Rhode Island (585) and Ferrum (589). Among Northeast Conference teams in the tournament LIU Brooklyn is ninth (608), followed by St. Francis U (10th, 612), CCSU, and then Fairleigh Dickinson (617, 12th).
The third and final round will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
