Incoming Freshman Joe Tucker Earns Medalist Honors at Rhode Island Amateur

Incoming freshman men's golfer Joe Tucker, a recent graduate of Bishop Hendricken High School in Warwick, RI, earned medalist honors at the 112th Rhode Island Amateur Championship on Tuesday.  Tucker earns the top seed heading into the Round of 32 which begins on Wednesday morning.

Tucker shot a -3 score of 69 on Tuesday, the low round of the day, and had a two-day total of 139. He is a four-time high school All-State selection and begins with the Blue Devils this fall.

Tucker teed off at 7:30 a.m. in his Round of 32 match on Wednesday morning.  The Amateur is being held at Valley Country Club in Warwick, RI.
