Men's Soccer Holds Youth Clinic in Newington

The Central Connecticut men's soccer team held a youth clinic in Newington, CT, on Friday night, Sept. 13.  The Blue Devils, who played to a 0-0 overtime draw in their last game on the road at Vermont, will play their home opener on Wednesday night, Sept. 18, at 7 p.m. on the CCSU Soccer Field.

On Friday night the team took advantage of a rare weekend off and traveled to nearby Newington to give a clinic to some area youth soccer players from the Soccer Club of Newington.

"It was a great event," head coach Shaun Green said following the clinic.  "It's always nice to see our players interact with younger players and help teach them some skills.  But I'm pretty sure that our players get as much out of the clinic as the younger ones do.  Everyone had a fantastic time."

Central is back in action on Wednesday night, and fans can WATCH LIVE and for FREE by visiting  Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. as the Blue Devils will host UMass-Lowell in their first home game of the season.
