Men's Soccer Set for NEC Tournament Today at 4 p.m.

The Central Connecticut men's soccer team is looking for its first Northeast Conference Tournament title since 2007, and the Blue Devils begin that quest this afternoon in New Britain.  Central is hosting the 2013 NEC Men's Soccer Championship as its top seed.  They host fourth seed St. Francis Brooklyn at 4 p.m. this afternoon on the CCSU Soccer Field.

The Blue Devils finished the regular season 6-1 in league play, posting four shutouts and allowing just one goal at home in four league matches.

On Thursday night the Blue Devils accepted their regular season championship trophy and head coach Shaun Green was named the league's Coach of the Year at the post-season banquet.  Freshman Conor Qualter was also named the league's Rookie of the Year, and six total Blue Devils were named All-Conference, the most of any team in the league.

Central will face the Terriers at 4 p.m., followed by Saint Francis U and Bryant in the 6:30 p.m. match.  Fans can follow the action with live stats and free live video by clicking HERE.
