Men's Soccer Falls at Quinnipiac on Second Half Goal

The Central Connecticut men's soccer team dropped a non-conference tilt at Quinnipiac, 2-1, on Friday afternoon. Senior Louis Beddouri scored for the second straight game, but a second half goal lifted the Bobcats to the win. The Blue Devils are back in action on Tuesday with a game at local rival, Hartford.

CCSU slips to 0-6-0 on the year, while QU is now 2-4-1 on the season.

The Bobcats opened the scoring in the 13th minute when Matthew Taylor lifted a shot over the keeper from 30 yards to make it 1-0.

Beddouri would level the game just before halftime, scoring his third goal of the year, to tie the game at 1-1.

Taylor scored his second goal of the game, when he collected a loose ball and sent a shot into the top right corner  from 18 yards out. The goal came at the 76:22 mark and would be the difference in the game.

Quinnipiac finished with a narrow, 13-10, edge in shots. Beddouri was one of four Blue Devils with two shots in the game. He and freshman Panos Ravanis each had two shots on goal.

Senior Carson D'Ambrosio made five saves for the Blue Devils.
