Men's Soccer Drops Conference Opener at St. Francis Brooklyn, 1-0

The Central Connecticut men's soccer team dropped its Northeast Conference opener at St. Francis Brooklyn, 1-0, on Friday at Brooklyn Bridge Park.  The Terriers scored the game's only goal early in the second half to begin NEC play. 

CCSU slips to 0-7-1 overall and 0-1 in conference play, while the Terriers are now 4-6-0 overall and 1-0 in the NEC.

SFC's Tomas Deandrade got the game's only goal at the 52:01 mark when he took an off balance shot that got past the goalkeeper. 

Central had a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks on the day, but SFC held a 8-4 edge in shots. 

Senior Carson D'Ambrosio made three saves on the day for the Blue Devils. 

The Blue Devils play at LIU Brooklyn on Friday, Oct. 5. Kickoff will be at 6:00 p.m. in Brooklyn, NY.
