Walker, Pullaro Run at Jr. Nationals
Sophomore Matt Walker finished 11th in the 10,000 meter run at the USA Track and Field Junior Nationals on Saturday night. Walker posted a time of 33:34.67 in the race. He finished just eight seconds outside of the top-10 with his performance.
The race winner, Ryan Pickering of Oregon, paced the field with a time of 30:56.77.
Freshman Andy Pullaro ran the 5,000 meter on Friday night and finished in 20th place. Pullaro posted a time of 15:55.01 in the event.
The 5,000 was won by Kirubel Erassa of Oklahoma State, he ran a 14:28.00.
The USA Junior Nationals feature the top under-20 talent in the country. The field for the meet consists of elite high school and young collegiate runners.
