For the women, junior Madeline Mondo was the first Blue Devil runner to cross the checkered stripe, turning in a time of 18:46.50 in 27th place.
Stanley Quarter Park will welcome runners back on Friday, Oct. 20 for the CCSU Mini Meet followed by the 2017 Northeast Conference Championships on Saturday, Oct. 28.
