The 10th Annual Ray Crothers Memorial 5K Cross Country Race and Kids Mile Fun Run hosted by the CCSU Alumni, Track and Field Club and CCSU Athletic Department will take place on Saturday, Sept. 22 at Stanley Quarter Park in New Britain, CT. The event is in dedication to the legendary Blue Devil runner, Ray Crothers, who was a champion in three divisions at the Manchester Road Race.
Proceeds from the race will benefit the Blue Devils men's and women's cross country/track and field programs under the head coach Eric Blake.
The Kids Mile Fun Run will start the day at 8:30 a.m. and is free of charge to children ages 12 and under. The Ray Crothers 5K run is slated for a 9:00 a.m. start and is $20 per participant. Runners can either register online at www.fasttracktiming.com or fill out the attached sign-up form to bring on race day. Pre-race registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. for both events. The fee for CCSU students with a valid ID is $5. Checks can be made payable to CCSU.
The Ray Crothers Race is also a USATF-CT 2018 Cross Country Grand Prix sanctioned event and MRR qualifier.
