Blue Devils Clash With The Hall on Tuesday

The Central Connecticut softball team will have its first chance to take the diamond for the second time in the last 10 days in South Orange, N.J. against Seton Hall for a pair of contests at 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. 

The Blue Devils are 5-12 and The Hall holds a record of 13-15 on the season. Both CCSU and the Pirates are coming off of wins with Central last defeating Yale 4-3 on Thursday and The Hall topping Holy Cross on Sunday 7-4 in extra innings. 



  • Sophomore Emily Cronin leads the Blue Devil offense with a batting average of .333 including a .368 percentage with runners on base. 
  • Senior Brittany Camara was a flawless 3-for-3 in CCSU's last match at Yale with three doubles. 
  • The Blue Devils' starting shortstop senior Lex Debrosse has knocked in a team-best 10 RBI on the year. 

Against The Hall

  • Series History: CCSU holds a 4-3 advantage all-time over the Pirates.
  • Last Meeting: Seton Hall downed Central 6-0 last year on April 18, 2017 in New Britain, CT.
  • Baylee Allender leads The Hall at the plate (.393) and Alexis Walkden leads the team in homeruns and RBI with six and 16 this season.
