Blue Devils Host Blackbirds Monday Night

The Central Connecticut women's basketball team will host the Blackbirds of LIU Brooklyn on Monday, Jan. 28 at 7 p.m. inside Detrick Gymnasium in New Britain, CT. The Blue Devils are looking for their second Northeast Conference win. CCSU recently fell to Bryant 72-60 on Saturday. The Bulldogs outscored Central, 25-12 in the first quarter. despite cutting the lead to five in the fourth quarter, the Blue Devils couldn't overcome the early run by Bryant. Emma McCamus recorded a career-high 19 points on 7-of-19 shooting from the field.

LIU Brooklyn recently dropped a 61-45 decision to Mount St. Mary's Saturday afternoon. The team cut the lead to nine going into the fourth quarter but the Mount was able to hold on and pull out the win. Jeydah Johnson finished in double-figures for the third straight game, and has led the Blackbirds in scoring for nine games. LIU is still searching for its first Northeast Conference win.
