Blue Devils Take Down St. Francis Brooklyn, 4-0

The Central Connecticut women's soccer team took down the Terriers of St. Francis Brooklyn 4-0 on Sunday afternoon. Senior Emily Hogan led the Blue Devils offense with two goals. Central's defense held the Terriers to just two shots on the game and recorded its third shutout of the season.

  • Senior Yo Tachibana passed to junior Erica Bardes running up the sideline. Bardes crossed the ball to find classmate Jenna Rae Covello cutting in the box, to open scoring (5:50).
  • Senior Emily Hogan battled two Brooklyn defenders in the box to score her first goal of the game (27:23).
  • Bardes recorded her second assist of the evening hitting senior Allyson O'Rourke in the box, who sent the ball just past the keeper (30:53).
  • Hogan closed the half with a header off a corner kick from senior Shauny Alterisio to put CCSU ahead 4-0 (38:59).
