Swimming Earns CSCAA Award

The Central Connecticut swimming and diving team earned the 2012 Scholar All-America Team Award from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America for their academic performance during the spring semester.

Collegiate swimming teams earn the award by finishing the semester with a cumulative grade point average above 3.00.  The Blue Devils finished the Spring 2012 semester with a 3.09 gpa. This is the third consecutive semester that the Blue Devils have received the honor.

Head coach Bill Ball's squad was one of 130 Division I teams to earn the distinction this year.  The Blue Devils were joined on the list by NEC members Bryant, Saint Francis (PA) and Wagner.

A complete list of CSCAA Scholar All-America Team can be found here.

The Blue Devils will open the 2012-13 season with the annual Alumni Meet on October 13th, and the Central Connecticut Diving Invite on October 20th.
