Jessica Goldman of the Central Connecticut swimming and diving team picked up her second consecutive Northeast Conference Diver of the Week honor, the NEC announced Wednesday. Goldman earns the honor this week after her impressive performance at the Sonny Werblin Invitational hosted by Rutgers University over the weekend.
For the second consecutive week, Goldman was the highest-placing Blue Devil diver from both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards. She registered a score of 247.25 in the 3-meter this weekend. The sophomore surpassed her previous week's impressive mark of 242.10 in the event by over five points.
Goldman also earned a score of 236.55 in the 1-meter, posting third-place finishes in both events.
CCSU is set to host the Blue Devil Diving Invitational this Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Jack Suydam Natatorium in New Britain, CT. The meet is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
