The Central Connecticut volleyball team will host Bryant on Saturday afternoon at Detrick Gym. The Blue Devils (16-7, 7-2 NEC) are looking for their eighth consecutive victory and to remain undefeated at home. Saturday's match is scheduled for begin at 1 p.m.
Earlier this season CCSU topped the Bulldogs (8-20, 3-6 NEC) in Smithfield, RI.
The Blue Devils' current seven match winning streak matches their seven match streak from earlier this season. CCSU's last seven match winning streak, prior to this year, came in 2007. The Blue Devils last streak longer than seven was a nine contest run during the 2005 season. During that streak, CCSU did not lose a set.
In addition to winning seven straight contests, CCSU has won 14 of 16 matches. With losses at St. Francis Brooklyn and LIU Brooklyn splitting the team's two seven-match winning streaks.
CCSU is also looking to maintain a perfect home record. The Blue Devils started the season with three wins in the CCSU Blue Devil Invitational, followed by four victories in NEC play.
Following Saturday's game the Blue Devils will close the season with road games at Sacred Heart and Fairleigh Dickinson and then home contests against St. Francis Brooklyn and LIU Brooklyn.
