Blue Devils Finish Fourth In NEC Commissioner's Cup Standings
Blue Devils win six championships, leading the league in championships for sixth consecutive season
The Central Connecticut State Department of Athletics finished fourth in the NEC Commissioner's Cup standings for the second consecutive year. The men and women both finished fourth in their respective cup categories.
For the sixth consecutive year Blue Devil student-athletes led the league in team championships, winning six crowns in 2025-26, with the second-place team winning four titles. The Blue Devils won a league-record seven titles last season and have 26 crowns in the past five seasons; while winning one-third of the titles they have competed for during the six seasons.
CCSU averaged 9.88 points per sport in the overall commissioner cup standings, the only school in the league to average more than 9.0 points per team on the year. The CCSU men averaged 10.43 points per sport for the year, nearly two full points higher than the next nearest school. The women averaged 9.44 points per sport, nearly a full point clear of the next highest team.
The Blue Devils have won 13 titles in the past two seasons, which is more than any other two schools combined have captured in the same time frame. Over the past three seasons, CCSU has 18 championships, eight more than the next best team in the league, which has won 10 in that time span.
The fourth-place finish for the CCSU women is the best since a third place showing in 2016-17.
