Bio
Canaan Brooks joined the CCSU football staff as running backs coachin the Summer of 2025. He has previous collegiate coaching stops at Kent State and the University of Central Oklahoma.
Brooks played for the University of South Dakota from 2018-20 and was at Emporia State in 2021-22, where he was a two-time All-MIAA selection.
BEFORE CCSU
Kent State University (2025)
- Recruited Oklahoma City, Tulsa, St, Louis, Dallas Forth Worth and Ohio
- Assisted with running the socut defense and coaching special teams
University of Central Oklahoma (2024-25)
- Served as runnign backs coach, coaching Don Hansen All-America selection Jaylen Cottrell
- Assisted with the returners on special teams, including Kobey Stephens, an All-American honoree and MIAA Special Teams Player of the Year
