Budge Claims All-New England Honors With Sixth-Place Finish
The men's cross-country team placed 10th at the New England Championships on Friday.
The Central Connecticut State men's cross-country team finished 10th as a team at the 2025 New England Championships, held at Hopkinton Fairgrounds in Hopkinton, NH. The Blue Devils scored 234 points on Friday, out of the 28 teams that competed.
KEY PERFORMANCES
- Aidan Budge earned All-New England honors by running to a sixth-place finish, with a time of 24:15.94 to pace the Blue Devils
- Steven Ives was the second Blue Devil across the line Friday afternoon, placing 35th in a time of 25:18.77
- Michael Kraszewski (25:44.08) and Mario Oliva (25:47.08) crossed just seconds apart to claim 65th and 71st in the overall standings
- Joseph Lauria rounded out the scoring for CCSU, with a 83rd place (70 points) effort in a time of 25:56.88
- Ryan Scappaticci (26:07.69) and Ryan McCauley (26:14.08) were the sixth and seventh finishers, placing 96th and 105th
