2019 Central Connecticut Women's Cross Country News
CCSU student-athletes posted an average GPA of 3.24 during the 2020 spring semester.
With the abrupt end of the spring athletic season and the subsequent cancelation of our annual awards banquet, CCSU athletics would like to celebrate and recognize our seniors online and on social media with our #CCSUSeniorDay.
Both teams had a cumulative GPA over a 3.0.
Members of the Fall Academic Honor Roll were also announced.
Head Coach Eric Blake was named the NEC Coach of the Year.
The Blue Devils finished 15th out of 18 teams.
Megan Brawner led the Blue Devils with a time of 20:57.0.
For the second year, Angie Rafter was the first place finisher.
Due to damage and downed trees in the park area from the weather this week, Stanley Quarter Park will not be available for parking. Fans are advised to park in the Welte Garage on campus and walk over to the race area.
Angie Rafter finished the women's 3K with a time of 9:51.5.
Angie Rafter was named the NEC Athlete of the Week for the second time this season.
The 12 kilometer mountain run will be hosted in Tepatitlan, Guadalajara, Mexico.
Central hosts the CCSU Mini Meet on Friday, Oct. 25.
