Crawford Dubbed Golfer of the Week
The NEC recognized Ashley Crawford as this week's Golfer of the Week.
The Northeast Conference tabbed junior Ashley Crawford as Golfer of the Week on Wednesday for his performance at the Barona Collegiate Cup last week. Central finished 14th at the event which featured an array of highly ranked teams. San Diego State played host to the tournament which was held at the Barona Creek Resort in San Diego, CA.
Crawford shot his lowest round score of the season, a 69 in round one. He was one of only two Blue Devils to break 70 in the tournament. The junior led all Blue Devils in the individual field securing a 72nd place tie. His 226 score was the lowest of any other Blue Devil at the event and he shot +10 to par for the tournament (69/75/82/226).
Crawford and the Blue Devils will return to the links on Friday, March 30th at the Towson University Fireline Invitational in Grasonville, MD.
