Vestergaard Earns Second NEC Diver of the Week Award

Central Connecticut junior diver Madison Vestergaard earned her second consecutive Northeast Conference Diver of the Week honor. Vestergaard's performances in the one-meter and three-meter dives on Sunday helped the Blue Devils defeat Southern Connecticut 124-117.

Central Connecticut junior diver Madison Vestergaard earned her second consecutive Northeast Conference Diver of the Week honor. Vestergaard's performances in the one-meter and three-meter dives on Sunday helped the Blue Devils defeat Southern Connecticut 124-117.

Vestergaard earned second place in the one-meter dive and third place in the three-meter dive on Sunday. She scored 209.09 in the one-meter and 182.69 in the three-meter. Both of her performances were the top marks this week for a Blue Devil diver.

In addition to a pair of NEC Diver of the Week Awards this season, the Middletown, Connecticut native was the 2010 NEC Champion in the three-meter dive.

The swimming and diving team will be back in action Friday, at NEC rival Bryant.
