Morabito Earns Gold on Day One of NEC Championships

KEY TRACK PERFORMANCES

Brooke Morabito won the 10,000m race with a time of 37:38.64, snagging the Blue Devils' first gold medal of the meet.

Magnalen Camara (57.51) and Tamara Rawles (57.70) qualified third and fourth, respectively, going into the finals for the 400m race on Sunday.

Nuchwara Inthasit is seeded seventh in the 100m dash after running a 12.46 in prelims. Kalesha Darisme was just a tenth of a second behind, coming in at 12.58 to qualify ninth.

Ashley Dana ran a 2:19.00 in the 800m, sending her into finals in the third place slot. Kaylee Gravel also qualified for finals and is seeded eighth.

Magnalen Camara crossed the finish line in the 400m hurdles in 1:05.86. Her effort places her sixth going into finals on Sunday.

Two Blue Devils made it into the top eight for the 200m dash final. Rawles is seeded third (25.12) while Kalesha Darisme (25.69) sits in the eighth spot.

Erin Egan placed fourth in the long jump, leaping for 5.57m.
