Women's XC 9th at MU Invitational
Sophomore Elizabeth Eberhardt finished 19th with a time of 19:26.9.
The Central Connecticut women's cross country team finished ninth out of 12 teams at the 17th Monmouth University Invitational. The Blue Devils posted a team score of 237 points. Sophomore Elizabeth Eberhardt was the top finisher for the Blue Devils placing 19th.
Eberhardt finished the 5K course in Holmdel, NJ, in a time of 19:26.9. Freshman Shannon McBride was the next Blue Devil to cross the line coming in 41st with a time of 20:06.8. Senior Amanda Asaro was the third Central runner across the line with a 20:22.7 time and a 52nd place finish.
Rounding out the scoring for the Blue Devils were sophomore Megan MacBryde and freshman Shelby Hale. MacBryde finished 111th and Hale 112th, they posted times of 22:14.5 and 22:21.3, respectively.
The Blue Devils return home next Saturday to host the Ted Owen Invitational at Stanley Quarter Park.
