Mondo Tabbed NEC XC Rookie Of The Week

Freshman Madeline Mondo was named the NEC Cross Country Rookie of the Week following her 26th place individual finish this past Saturday at the 13th Annual Ted Owen Invitational.

Freshman Madeline Mondo of the Central Connecticut women's cross country team was named the NEC Cross Country Rookie of the Week following her 26th place individual finish this past Saturday at the 13th Annual Ted Owen Invitational, the Northeast Conference front office announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Mondo, a rookie from Marlborough, CT, completed the 5K course at the Ted Owen Invitational in 19:58.9 to place 26th overall in a field of 87 runners. Her result also helped lead the Blue Devils to a fourth place team finish in a field of nine.

Mondo and the rest of the Central Connecticut women's cross country team will return to action next in two weeks when they head to Franklin Park in Boston, MA for the 2015 New England Championships.
