Women's Basketball vs. Monmouth, 7 pm
The Blue Devils (4-5) host the Monmouth Hawks (6-3) at 7 p.m. in Detrick Gym.
The Central Connecticut women's basketball team will face Monmouth at Detrick Gym on Monday night. The Blue Devils (10-10, 4-5 NEC) have won four-of-five games heading into tonight's action, while the Hawks (11-9, 6-3 NEC) had their eight game winning streak snapped on Saturday.
On Saturday afternoon, the Blue Devils earned an exciting 51-49 victory over Fairleigh Dickinson. Sophomore Lauren Arbogast scored Central's final six points of the game, including the winning basket with 1.2 seconds left in the game. Also during Saturday's action junior Kirsten Daamenbecame CCSU's all-time leader in blocked shots, breaking a tie with her former teammate Justina Udenze.
Last season the Blue Devils and Hawks met twice, with both teams winning at home. Monmouth earned the 56-43 victory at home in December and the Blue Devils pulled off the 48-45 victory in Detrick Gym during January.
