Women's Golf In 13th After First Round at Yale
Williams leads CCSU with day one 76
The Central Connecticut women's golf team shot a day one score of 318 on Friday in the first round of the Yale Women's Intercollegiate played on Friday at the Golf Course at Yale. The Blue Devils are in 13th place out of 20 total teams.
Sophomore Ella Williams led the way for CCSU firing off a first round score of 76, she is tied for 18th place overall.
Junior Sarah Boden and sophomore Kaitlyn Stoddart each shot an 80 in the first round. They both sit in a tie for 46th. Freshmen Tara Whelan and Cecy Gutierrez each shot 82. They sit in a tie for 69th place after the first round.
Xavier University sits in first place after the first round, shooting a day one score of 297. They are followed by Harvard (298), Yale (299) Yale II (304) and Brown (305). Central sits in 13th place, ahead of Boston College, Albany, Sacred Heart and Quinnipiac.
The second round of the tournament will be played on Saturday with the third and final round coming on Sunday.
