NEC Announces Preseason Lacrosse Poll

Blue Devils open season on Valentine's Day at Iona

The NEC unveiled its 2026 preseason coaches poll for the women's lacrosse league, 16 days in advance of the season opener for the Central Connecticut State program. The Blue Devils were tabbed in an eight-place tie in the poll.

2026 CCSU Lacrosse Schedule

CCSU opens the season on February 14^th, travelling to New Rochelle, NY for a 1:00 pm matchup with Iona. Following a game next Saturday at La Salle, the Blue Devils home opener is scheduled for February 25^th versus Quinnipiac.

The NEC opener is set for March 14^th at Arute Field, when CCSU welcomes FDU. The top four teams in the regular season standings will qualify for the NEC Championship, hosted by the highest seed, April 30^th and May 2^nd.

LIU was voted atop the coaches poll, followed by Stonehill, Wagner and Mercyhurst. Le Moyne was tabbed fifth, with FDU and New Haven in front of the Blue Devils and Howard, tied for eighth, with Delaware State 10^th.
