Vestergaard Earns Diver of the Week Honors

Sophomore Madison Vestergaard was named the Northeast Conference Diver of the Week for her performances at Northeastern on Saturday. It marks the second time in the Middletown, CT native's career that she has received the honor.

Sophomore Madison Vestergaard was named the Northeast Conference Diver of the Week for her performances at Northeastern on Saturday. It marks the second time in the Middletown, CT native's career that she has received the honor.

Vestergaard was the only member of the CCSU diving team to compete this weekend. She led the CCSU diving unit with a second place finish in the three meter event and a fifth place finish in the one meter dive against Northeastern and Maine. The sophomore recorded point totals of 161.65 and 150.90 in the two events, respectively.

Central will return to action this weekend for the Sonny Werblin Invitational at Rutgers.
