Rafter Repeats as Athlete of the Week
Central Connecticut track and field star Angie Rafter was named Athlete of the Week by the Northeast Conference on Tuesday, marking the second week in a row the senior has earned the award.
Rafter put together a strong performance at last Saturday's TCNJ Invite in New York and brought a gold back to New Britain along with teammate Ashley Dana.
Rafter ran the 3,000 meter on Saturday and breezed to a win, finishing in 9:21.92. Her time is the best in the NEC by over a minute and is ranked 18th nationally.
The Blue Devils will be back in New York to compete this weekend, taking part in the Ramapo Opener on January 21.
