This Week In Blue Devils Athletics: January 17-23
Classes are back in session and the Blue Devils winter sports are heading towards championship season.
The 2023 spring semester is underway and this week brings a full slate of action for Blue Devil winter sports.

Thursday, January 19 - at LIU, 7:00 pm
- Central Connecticut will head to Brooklyn, NY on Thursday night to face the LIU Sharks. Tipoff is set for 7:00pm at Steinberg Wellness Center.
- This game marks the 46th Division I meeting between the two teams.
- CCSU will be looking to snag their second conference victory and defeat the Sharks for the first time since the 2019-20 season.
Saturday, January 21 - vs. Wagner, 12:30 pm

- The Blue Devils will return home on Saturday to host the Wagner College Seahawks. Tipoff is set for 12:30 pm at Detrick Gymnasium.
- CCSU will be looking to improve their record to 31-20 against the Seahawks.
- Saturday's game will air on ESPN3 and will be available on a tape delay at 5pm on SNY, in the New York City and tristate marketes.

Friday, January 20 - vs. Sacred Heart. 5:00 pm (Watch on NEC Front Row)
Saturday, January 21 - at Sacred Heart (Milford, CT)
- The Blue Devils take to the pool for their first dual competition of 2023, with a two-day home-and-home competition versus Sacred Heart
- CCSU will host Friday afternoon, with a 10-event slate, while the Pioneers host Saturday's portion of the meet

Friday, January 20 - at Ramapo Season Opener, NYC Armory
- The full CCSU squad will be in action on Friday, at the Ramapo Season Opener at the NYC Armory
- Angie Rafter was named the NEC Track Athlete of the Week once again, her third honor of the season

Friday, January 20 - at Wagner, 7:00 pm
Sunday, January 22 - at LIU, 12:00 pm
- CCSU will play a pair of road games this weekend. Central travels to Wagner on Friday and will be looking for its first win over the Seahawks since Jan. 23, 2014.
- The Blue Devils travel to LIU on Sunday for the season's second meeting with the Sharks. CCSU won 78-59 on Jan. 5 in New Britain.
- Nigel Scantlebury was named an NEC Prime Performer after posting a season-high 23 points with five assists against FDU last week.
