Shaun Green returns to the sidelines for his 28th season as head coach for the Central Connecticut State University men's soccer program.  Green was introduced as the Blue Devils' head coach in 1985.

In 2011, he led the Blue Devils to a 10-8-1 (7-3 NEC) record which tied them for the Northeast Conference regular season championship.  Green was recognized as NEC Coach of the Year after leading Central into the conference tournament for the fifth time in his career.

Green, a Newcastle, England native, has built a winning tradition on the New Britain campus over the past 26 years.  In 2007, Green coached the Blue Devils to their first ever Northeast Conference Championship and first appearance in the NCAA Tournament.  CCSU won the NEC Tournament as the four seed, beating both Monmouth and St. Francis (PA) in 1-0 matches.  Coach Green's team knocked off 15th ranked Harvard and 9th ranked Tulsa on route to the round of sixteen in the NCAA Tournament, a feat unmatched by any other CCSU team in the Division 1 era.  The Blue Devils finished nationally ranked in the NSCAA poll for the first time in school history.  A tactical innovator, Green's tenure has helped the Blue Devil program rise to national prominence.

Under Coach Green's guidance Robert Cavener led the NEC in assists as a junior, and was named a First Team All-NEC selection in 2009 and 2010.  In addition, Cavener was recognized as an All-Region selection by the NSCAA in both seasons.

In 2008, Green helped seniors Yan Klukowski and David Tyrie cap off tremendous careers at Central.  Both student-athletes were named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List prior to the season.  The Hermann trophy is awarded, each year, to the top collegiate soccer player in the country.  After much team success in 2007, with an NEC Championship and NCAA Tournament run, Klukowski and Tyrie received many individual accolades in 2008.  They received NSCAA/adidas All-Region honors for the third straight year and All-NEC accolades for the fourth time in as many seasons.

In 2006 CCSU made appearances in both the NSCAA/Adidas and College Soccer News national top-25 polls, peaking at #19 in the former.  Additionally, Klukowski, a sophomore at the time, became the third straight Blue Devil to lead the nation in a major statistical category.  The Wiltshire, England native followed Jorden Holder, the 2005 statistical champion in assists, and Alex Harrison, the 2004 statistical champion in goals, by leading NCAA Division I in assists with .73 per game.

In 2003, Green earned Northeast Conference Coach of the Year honors after guiding the Blue Devils to an appearance in the NEC tournament final.  Green coached Alex Harrison, one of his many standouts, to league player of the year honors the following season.  Harrison won the honor again in 2005, leading the Blue Devils to a second place finish and another appearance in the NEC Tournament.

From 1994 to 1997, as a member of the Mid-Continent Conference, Green built CCSU into a regional power, compiling a record of 51-27-7 (.641). Under Green, the Blue Devils played in four consecutive Mid-Continent championship matches, winning back-to-back conference championships (1994-95) and earning two NCAA play-in match berths - a 1-0 overtime loss to Notre Dame in 1994 and a 3-1 loss to Butler in 1995.

While at CCSU, Green's players have excelled as a unit and individually, with numerous players earning all-conference honors. In addition to coaching the two-time conference player of the year in Harrison, Green was also at the helm in 1995 when Steven Jarvis became the first player in school history to be named a Division I All-American.  Meanwhile, 22 former Blue Devils have advanced to the professional ranks and numerous others have represented their respective nations in World Cup qualifying and at the World University Games. In the summer of 2007, Klukowski represented Great Britain at the latter in Bangkok, Thailand.

Green is the former Director of Coaching in Connecticut for the National Soccer Coaches of America (NSCAA) and has also served as the head coach of the Connecticut U-17 Olympic Development Team, which he led to the Region I Championship.  He is currently the president of the International Coaches Association and formally served as the chairman of the NSCAA Regional Ranking Committee and chairman of the NCAA Coaches' Committee.

In addition to on-the-field work, Green is a worldwide leading author of soccer books and multimedia. He has published four coaching books and eight multimedia instructional coaching cds focusing on instructional coaching techniques.  In addition, Green is the founder and President of the International Coaches Association (ICA), which is the world's largest coaching website.

Green, an associate professor at Central, received his tenure from the University in 1991. He holds an NSCAA Advanced National Coaching Diploma and a United States Soccer Federation 'A' License and is a member of the English Football Association.
Coach Green, a 1985 graduate of Davis & Elkins (WV) College, lives in Southington with his wife, Laurie, and their sons, Kenneth, Shane and Adam.

Christian Benjamin will begin his sixth season coaching the Blue Devil goalkeepers in 2012.

A former goalkeeper at Bryant University, Benjamin created and continues to run Keeperstop.com while also working both as a goalkeeper coach for Connecticut ODP and as a director at the Star Goalkeeper Academy.

Benjamin created Keeperstop.com, a premier source for goalkeeping equipment and education, in 2003. Additionally, the Simsbury, CT native currently trains seven ODP goalkeepers from Massachusetts and Rhode Island and two Massachusetts regional team keepers.

A holder of USSF 'C' License and a NSCAA National Goalkeeping Diploma, Benjamin played at Bryant from 1993-97. He began working for the Star Goalkeeper Academy in 1995 and served as a CT ODP goalkeeper coach in 2002, 2003 and 2007.

Benjamin began coaching at the collegiate level in 2004, serving as an assistant and goalkeeper coach for the Framingham State women's soccer program. in 2005, he worked as a part-time assistant for the MIT women's team and prepared the goalkeepers for Franklin Pierce's NCAA Tournament squad.

Prior to his time in the college coaching ranks, Benjamin worked as a consultant for various high programs. He also has club coaching experience for the Elite Soccer Academy, Vikings FC and Eastern MA FC.  Benjamin has also hosted the New York Public High School Athletic Association Soccer Clinic at the Soccer Hall of Fame in 2005.

Avi Dubnov joined the Blue Devils coaching staff in 2012 as a volunteer assistant coach under Head Coach Shaun Green.  Dubnov currently lives in Middletown, CT.

As a coach, Dubnov was most recently an assistant at the collegiate level on the Trinity College men's soccer coaching staff in Hartford, CT.  He is also head men's soccer coach for the Soccer Plus Men's YPSL team where he started in 2011.  In addition to his coaching responsibilities at Soccer Plus, Dubnov is the Director of U14 Boys and Head Coach for the CJSA Olympic Developmental Program in Connecticut.

Dubnov is currently the Director of Youth Development at Soccer Plus in Hartford, CT.  He started at Soccer Plus in 2010 and his responsibilities include technical direction for U11-14 boys and girls teams, head coaching of ECNL teams, and implementation of of educational and logistical progression.  Dubnov founded the coaching education program at Soccer Plus.

From 2007 to 2010, Dubnov was the Regional Director of Coaching for MLS Soccer Camps in Mystic, CT where he became the Regional Director of coaching positions for MLS Camps in New England.  Prior to his stint with the MLS Soccer Camps, Dubnov was the Director of Coaching at Wilton Soccer Association in Wilton, CT from 2006-2010.

Dubnov has a National "B" Coaching License as well as a NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, NSCAA National Diploma, and English F.A Level 1 & 2.  He received a BA in Theatre Film and Television Studies at the University of Bolton - England where he was a three year started on the men's soccer team as well as team captain.  He played semi-professionally for Spartans Athletic in Southeast Essex from 2001-2004.
