Biekert and Williams at NCAA Prelims

Two Blue Devils will represent Central Connecticut at the 2013 NCAA Men's Track and Field Championships East Preliminaries this weekend. Senior Rashad Williams and sophomore Brian Biekert qualified for the preliminary round that will take place in Greensboro, NC from May 23-25.
Williams, who currently holds the CCSU outdoor record in the shot put with a distance of 56' 3.25", is scheduled to compete in the event on Friday.
Biekert is also scheduled to compete Friday in the 3,000m steeplechase event. Biekert broke the previous CCSU outdoor record of 9:03.24 set in 1980 earlier this season when he crossed the finish line at the Larry Ellis Invitational in 8:59.11.
