The Central Connecticut women's golf team finished competition at the Northeast Conference Championships on Sunday. The Blue Devils placed sixth out of 10 teams in competition at the Champions Gate Golf Club in Orland, FL. Freshman Anna Ausanio recorded the best final round score for CCSU, carding an 82 to finish the tournament in 13th with a total of 250 over the three rounds.
The Central Connecticut women's golf team shot 349 at the Northeast Conference Championships and dropped two spots to sixth place on Saturday. The Blue Devils were led by freshman Stephanie Bednar in round two action, who shot 81 on the par 72 Champions Gate Golf Course in Orlando, FL.

Bednar's 84 tied her for third place as CCSU recorded a team score of 355 to the Hawks' winning 332. The Blue Devils will next compete at the Northeast Conference Championships in Orlando, FL on April 23-25.
Senior Natalie Jones led Central Connecticut State University to a win over Fairfield in the first of two Shootouts this weekend. The Blue Devils outshot the Stags 357 to 362 to secure victory, while Jones recorded a score of 84 on the par 71 course at the Wethersfield Country Club. On Sunday CCSU will challenge Hartford in a Shootout at Wethersfield CC beginning at 12:30 p.m.

Freshman Stephanie Bednar led the Blue Devils as she tied for seventh overall. Bednar recorded a score of 82 on Saturday and came back with an 81 on Sunday's 18 holes to finish the tournament in 163.
Freshman Anna Ausanio is tied for the individual lead after one round in the Hawk Spring Invitational at Monmouth University. Ausanio recorded a score of 78 as Central Connecticut State University finished day one in third place out of eight teams in competition in West Long Branch, NJ. The freshman shot 41 on the front nine before coming back with a 37 on the back to lead the Blue Devils.
The Central Connecticut State University women's golf team was selected sixth in the Northeast Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, released today by the conference. The Blue Devils placed seventh out of 10 teams at last year's NEC Championships. CCSU has won one NEC crown, topping all other conference foes in 2001.

Woods carded an 89 in round one and scored an 87 during the second round for her total of 176. Bednar shot 88 in both rounds this weekend to score 176 for the Blue Devils. Central finished with a total score of 719.
Play was suspended due to poor weather conditions at the CCSU Fall Invitational on Saturday. The final fall tournament for the Blue Devils will continue with first round action Sunday morning before the teams finish up with second round play. The tournament is being held at the Stanley Municipal Golf Course in New Britain, CT.

Sunday's first round action got rained out so all 36 holes were played out today. The Blue Devils finished with a score of 725 in the two rounds at the Great River Golf Club in Milford, CT. Freshmen Katie Reid and Stephanie Bednar led CCSU, each carding a 178 to tie for 24th in the tournament.
The final round of the Yale Women's Intercollegiate Golf Tournament was cancelled on Sunday due to poor weather conditions. Harvard was crowned the champions due to Saturday's results. CCSU finished in 11th place with a score of 675 for Saturday's two rounds of action. Freshman Anna Ausanio led the Blue Devils in opening day competition as she tied for 30th with a two-round score of 161. Central will be back in action on October 18 and 19 at the Sacred Heart Fall Classic.
