Blue Devils Announce Football Promotions Schedule for Four Home Games

The Central Connecticut State University football team opens its home season on Saturday, Oct. 3 as the Blue Devils welcome Sacred Heart for homecoming. This season each home football game will carry a theme, as the CCSU athletics department continues to strive to reach out to the local community. CCSU will play at home four times this season, including Oct. 3, 10 and 31, and Nov. 14.

The Blue Devils will emphasize their role in the local community as they face Robert Morris in their second home game of the season. A 12:00 start, with tickets windows opening at 11 a.m., will encourage local families to attend for a very "family friendly" cost. Tickets start at just $7.

Several hundred local youth football players will join the crowd as the Blue Devils host Youth Football Day. Invitations have been sent state-wide to all youth football organizations to join the Blue Devils as they take on two-time defending champion Albany.

CCSU faces Monmouth, and the Blue Devils host Military Appreciation Day in their final home game of the season. Prior to the beginning of the game the Blue Devils will honor their senior class in their last-ever home game at CCSU. CCSU will spend the day honoring our military, as several current members and veterans will be in attendance. Look for a special presentation of the colors prior to kickoff as well as halftime ceremonies honoring those who have and continue to serve our country.
