COMPLETE 2010 FOOTBALL
SCHEDULE
"Once again we are extremely excited by this schedule for the
upcoming season," McInerney said on Thursday. "We will take to the
road to face two powers in FCS football in New Hampshire and
Youngstown State. We have proven during my previous four seasons
that we will play some of the best teams in the country, and I
think that shows again in 2010."
Following the trip to UNH, the Blue Devils will open the home
portion of their schedule on Sept. 11 against Bentley University.
They take to the road again for a tough test against Youngstown
State on Sept. 18. That will mark the final non-conference game of
the season for the Blue Devils.
Conference play begins on Sept. 25 at home vs. Bryant. The Blue
Devils will play home conference games this season against the
Bulldogs, Duquesne (Oct. 9), Wagner (Oct. 30) and St. Francis (PA)
(Nov. 20). They will travel to face Sacred Heart (Oct. 2), Albany
(Oct. 23), Robert Morris (Nov. 6) and Monmouth (Nov. 13). Central
will have a bye week on Oct. 16 in between the games vs. Duquesne
and Albany.
"Our conference schedule is tough, and we will use our
non-conference schedule to prepare us as we look to defend our
league title in 2010," McInerney said. "Last season was special,
and the goal for this season is to build on 2009 and give ourselves
a chance to play for the title again this year.
"Spring practice is right around the corner and we continuing
preparing for next season right now. We open spring ball on Mar.
31, and will play our spring game on Friday, Apr. 23 at 2 p.m. We
are excited to get back on the field and continue to work towards
next season."
Some game times are still to be determined and will be released at
a later date. All five home games at Arute Field will have start
times of 12 noon.
