Figueiredo Named Track Athlete Of The Week

Time ranks as the top-time in the NEC this season

Central Connecticut State freshman Lucas Figueiredo was named the Northeast Conference Track Athlete of the Week on Wednesday.

A native of Waterbury, CT, Figueiredo ran 47.47 in the 400m to win the event at the CCSU Spring Invite on Friday. The time is the fastest in the NEC this season, a collegiate-best time for Figueiredo and ranks 15th in the Northeast Region amongst Division I runners this spring.

The Blue Devils look to defend their NEC Outdoor Championship this weekend, May 3-4, at Stonehill College.
