Payne Has Two Goals, Assist At Mercyhurst for Lacrosse
Payne and Efron both scored twice on Saturday
The Central Connecticut State lacrosse team dropped a 19-6 decision to Northeast Conference host Mercyhurst on Saturday in Erie, PA. The Blue Devils fall to 2-12 overall and 2-6 in league play, while the Lakers improve to 6-7 on the season and 6-2 in league action.
The Blue Devils close out the 2025 campaign on Saturday, April 26th, with a game at FDU in Teaneck, NJ.
KEY MOMENTS
- Mercyhurst opened a 5-0 lead in the opening 6:01 of play with goals from five different players
- Kylee Pay put CCSU on the board with her first of two first quarter tallies, the next with 74 seconds left in the opening period to close the deficit to 7-2 at the quarter break
