Women's Soccer Loses at #6 Boston College on Sunday Afternoon
The Central Connecticut State University women's soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision at #6 Boston College on Sunday afternoon. With the loss the Blue Devils fall to 2-4-1 on the season. They return to action on Tuesday night traveling to Columbia beginning at 7:00 p.m.

With the loss the Blue Devils fall to 2-4-1 on the season. They
return to action on Tuesday night traveling to Columbia beginning
at 7:00 p.m.
Boston College scored all four of their goals in the first half,
including a pair by Brooke Knowlton, and improved to 8-0-0 on the
season. Seven wins for the Eagles this season have come via the
shutout. They have allowed only one goal this season and are
averaging just under four goals scored per game.
The Eagles also received first half goals from Julia Bouchelle and
Kristen Mewis before the break.
Boston College held an 18-5 advantage in shots on the afternoon.
CCSU goalkeepers Caity Casey and Jamie
Trayer combined to make seven saves in the loss. Casey had six
in just over 77 minutes of action.
Senior Leah Blayney had three shots
on the goal for CCSU. BC's Jillian Mastroianni made three saves on
those three shots to preserve the shutout. It was the seventh
shutout of the season for the Eagles.
The Blue Devils return to action on Tuesday night at Columbia
beginning at 7 p.m.
