Women's Track & Field Collects Four Event Wins at Blue Devil Invite
The Central Connecticut women's track and field team hosted the CCSU Blue Devil Invite on Friday in New Britain, CT. The Blue Devils' seniors were recognized before the start of the meet in which the team earned a quartet of wins.

TRACK HIGHLIGHTS
- Nuchwara Inthasit placed second in the 100m dash at 12.37 to lead a contingent of seven Central runners.
- Inthasit finished fourth in the 200m dash at 25.52, while Kayla Logan turned in a time of 26.36.
- Jessica Farrell won the 400m dash in 57.89. Kyra Smith was fourth in 59.47.
- Mya Morabito (2:14.28) and Kaylee Gravel (2:15.79) finished second and fourth in the 800m.
- Juliana Cancellieri won the 1500m run in 4:51.33.
- Isabelle Mondo had a time of 11:16.89 in the 3000m run, while Alexandria Klopfer (11:37.84) also scored.
- Jasmine Ogando had the best time for CCSU in the 100m hurdles at 15.3.
- Taina DeJesus turned in a time of 1:06.72 in the 400m hurdles.
- CCSU had a time of 48.26 in the 4x100m relay. CCSU 'A' won the 4x400m relay in 4:04.25, edging the 'B' relay.
THROWS HIGHLIGHTS
- Wenesha Stewart (13.67m) won the shot put, while Marina Perry (12.15m) and Sarah Ovesny (11.53m) also earned top-five spots.
- Stewart won the discus with a mark of 43.71m, just ahead of Maya Marin (42.80m).
- Perry (47.15m), Ovesny (46.55m) and Stewart (45.55m) placed 3-4-5 in the hammer.
- Lyndsey Gravel led CCSU in the javelin with a mark of 31.87m.
JUMPS HIGHLIGHTS
- Erin Egan (5.28m) and Abigail Burgess (5.25m) earned top-five marks in the long jump.
- Burgess (10.38m) earned second in the triple jump.
- Hailey Sousa (2.75m) and Mia Savino (2.60m) scored in the pole vault.

- The Northeast Conference championships will be held on May 3-4 at Stonehill College.
