Volleyball Drops Match to Iona at Columbia Tournament
The Central Connecticut volleyball team dropped to 1-3 overall on the season with a 3-0 loss to Iona at the Columbia Tournament on Friday afternoon. Sophomore Emily Cochran led the offense with 13 kills for CCSU. They return to action on Saturday playing Columbia and Lafayette to complete the tournament.

Senior Amanda
Bayer's 24 assists helped pace the Blue Devils. She also added
eight digs.
Cochran, the Northeast Conference Rookie of the Year last season,
had 13 kills to lead Central for the third time in four matches
this season. She had 12 digs. Senior Kaitlin
Petrella led the defense with 27 digs, while Blaike
King's nine kills were the second-highest on the team.
Iona was led by nine kills each from Alicja Pawelec and Colleen
Genett.
Central will return to action at Columbia on Saturday. They will
play Columbia at 11 a.m. and Lafayette at 4 p.m.
