Blue Devils Drop 3-1 Decision at Hartford on Wednesday Night in Volleyball
Sophomore Blaike King had 12 kills and senior Amanda Bayer added 35 assists but the Central Connecticut volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision on the road at Hartford on Wednesday night. Central returns to action this weekend at the Brown Invitational, beginning on Friday afternoon against Boston College.

The Blue Devils dropped the first two sets (25-15 and 25-23) before
rebounding to take the third 25-17. Hartford recovered to win the
fourth and final set 25-18 to claim the victory.
King's 12 kills led the Blue Devil offense, which hit .102 in the
match with 44 kills. Bayer again led the offense with her 35
assists. She also added 10 digs. Senior Kaitlin Patrella led the
defense with 24 digs. Centrl had 10 team blocks in the match, led
by six block assists from Jamie
Rademacher. She added eight kills.
Hartford had three players with 10 or more kills in the match, led
by Kami Nethersole who had a match-high 14. They hit .155 as a
team.
Central returns to action on Friday afternoon at the Brown
Invitation and will play Boston College on the first day of
action.
