Volleyball Drops Three Set Match on the Road at Holy Cross
The Central Connecticut volleyball team dropped to 2-9 overall on the season with a 3-0 loss on the road at Holy Cross on Wednesday night. The Blue Devils were led by freshman Caity Van Camp who had a team-high eight kills. They return to action in their home opener on Saturday against Bryant at 4 p.m.

Holy Cross won 25-17, 25-21 and 25-18 to improve to 6-11 on the
season.
Van Camp's eight assists led the Central offense, and she led the
squad hitting .250 in the match. Senior Amanda
Bayer had 29 assists while three Blue Devils recorded
double-figures in digs, led by sophomore Blaike
King and senior Kaitlin
Petrella who each had 12. Bayer added 11 in the loss.
The Blue Devils return to action on Saturday in their home opener
hosting Bryant beginning at 4 p.m. The game will be played in
Detrick Gym and admission is free of charge.
