Robert Cavener Named ESPN/Academic All-District on Tuesday

Senior men's soccer player Robert Cavener was named to the ESPN/Academic All-District First Team on Tuesday. Cavener, a two-year captain for the Blue Devils, is one of 13 student-athletes in the District I region to be selected. He now advances to the national ballot with a shot at earning Academic All-America honors. Cavener was also a first team regional selection last season.

Cavener is tied for the team lead in scoring this season with eight points. He has a pair of goals and a team-best four assists in his senior campaign. He has started and played in all 15 games.

Cavener is also a two-time NSCAA All-Region selection following his sophomore and junior seasons, and last year was a First Team All-Northeast Conference selection.

The Blue Devils will complete their season on Friday with a trip to Quinnipiac beginning at 3 p.m.
