The Central Connecticut State football team takes to the road as it returns to NEC play this Saturday, travelling to Robert Morris for a Saturday afternoon matinee. Game time in Moon Township is set for 2:00 pm and the game can be seen on ESPN+.

The Blue Devils are 3-3 overall and 1-0 in league play, while the Colonials are 1-4 on the year and the game is their league opener. The last time the teams met, last November, was a thrilling double overtime win for the Blue Devils, that put them in position to win the league crown the following week. All-time the Colonials lead the series 19-10. CCSU has won the last four meetings, dating back to 2017, a 42-14 home win. The Blue Devils last travelled to Moon Township in 2018, winning that game 56-35.

Chris Jean is the FCS active career leader with 1.25 passes defended at 1.25 per game., He is eighth amongst active leaders with seven interceptions and 13th with 18 pass breakups. Jean had a program-tying three interceptions in the win over Duquesne in 2024 and had his second multi-interception game, with two, versus Merrimack in 2025. He has made 36 tackles this fall.

Brady Olson's 323 passing yards is the most by a Blue Devil since Jacob Dolegala threw for 341 yards versus RMU on 10/6/18. His four touchdown passes was one shy of the single-game school record from Scott Dolch, who threw five in the 2004 game versus RMU. Olson is the fifth player in program history to account for five touchdowns in a single-game, with four through the air and one on the ground.

Elijah Howard is averaging 128.7 APY per game over the last three outings, with a season-high 171 in the win over SHU. He is first in the league, and 38th nationally, with his season APY average of 105.4 per game. Howard is the only player in the NEC in the top 10 in the league in rushing (70.2) and receiving (35.2).

With six games left in the regular season he will need to average 121 yards per game to become the fourth Blue Devils to reach 3,000 career rushing yards. Howard is currently averaging 70.2 yards per game on the ground and 4.9 per carry.

Jack Stoll remains the Blue Devils leader in tackles, averaging 6.8 per game, which is fourth in the NEC. He has made 41 stops this season, including a career-best dozen against Dartmouth. Stoll has 6.5 TFL, one shy of a single-season best for himself. Over 40 career games, Stoll has 159 tackles and 19.5 TFL.
• CCSU ranks in the top-20 in red zone offense and defense this season. CCSU has scored on 22-24 red zone chances, and ranks 18th in the nation at a 91.7 percent scoring rate. CCSU has eight rush and seven passing TD's in the red zone this season. The defense ranks 19th, stopping opponents 7-26 times and at least one red zone stop in every game this season.
