Men's Soccer Falls in Second Half to Mercyhurst
The Central Connecticut men's soccer team surrendered a pair of second half goals and fell to Mercyhurst, 2-1, on Thursday in Northeast Conference action in New Britain, CT. The Blue Devils led at halftime on a goal by Arnau Rabassa Guillamon.
The Blue Devils travel to FDU on Sunday afternoon.

KEY MOMENTS
- The Blue Devils opened the scoring in the 17th minute through Rabassa Guillamon's first goal at CCSU. He and Ethan Agyare-Danso worked a quick exchange of passes in the penalty area and Rabassa Guillamon took a shot from the right side that he put into the upper 90 to make it 1-0.
- Mercyhurst would get an opportunity early in the second half when Carver Tierney got behind the defense off a free kick, but his shot was deflected high by Michel Pioncely.
- The Lakers tied the score at the 68:32 mark when Asher Johnson swung a cross in from the left wing and Frank Lovett got his head to it at the right post to make it 1-1.
- The game-winning goal came less than a minute later when the Lakers picked up the goal at midfield and Jorge Tallada Tores slid a cross across the front of goal to Dylan Sumner who slipped his shot into the net to make it 2-1.
