Hilt and the Blue Devils went 2-0 last week to finish their regular
season home schedule at a perfect 5-0. The Blue Devils also
qualified for their seventh consecutive NEC Tournament, which will
be played on Nov. 7 and 9 at the home of the highest seed.
Hilt had her most productive weekend of the season for the Blue
Devils as CCSU won twice topping Sacred Heart 1-0 and then beating
Fairleigh Dickinson 5-1 on Sunday.
Hilt, a consistent defensive presence for the Blue Devils all
season, played a key role in Friday's shutout, the ninth of the
season for the Blue Devils. Hilt also scored two goals and added
an assist on the weekend.
She scored her second goal of the season and it proved to be the
only score of the match in a 1-0 win over the Pioneers on Friday
afternoon. She added her second goal of the weekend in the win
over FDU and also added an assist on the game-winning goal for the
Blue Devils on Sunday in the win that clinched their trip to the
NEC Tournament and gave the Blue Devils a 5-0 record at home this
season.
Hilt and the defense allowed only one goal in the two games, and it
came on a penalty kick after a hand ball was called against CCSU in
Sunday's win.
CCSU returns to action on Wednesday night at Yale beginning at 7
p.m.
