Fanion Tabbed Golfer of the Week

Dan Fanion claims second NEC honor of the spring season.

Central Connecticut men's golfer junior Dan Fanion was named this week's Northeast Conference Golfer of the Week. This accolade marks the second time this spring season that Fanion has been recognized as NEC Golfer of the Week.

Fanion saw his first top-ten finish of the season after scoring 74 and 71 at the New England Championship to tie for second place individually. His scores helped lead the Blue Devils to a first-place team finish.

The Massachusetts native completed the two day competition at -2 to par (71/74/145) and finished just two strokes behind the tournament champion. With the win the Blue Devils claim back-to-back New England Champion honors after registering their first win of the 2011-12 season.
